At MGC, we partnered with KM Engineering, the Kamo family, and the City of Vale to completely renovate and rededicate the community park in honor of local farming icon Gary Kamo. This design-build project transformed the existing space into a low-maintenance, durable, and visually engaging park featuring Japanese-inspired elements, including a custom steel pergola, paver walkways, seating areas, extensive plantings, and landscape lighting. Many local and regional donors contributed materials and labor, creating a strong sense of community ownership, while thoughtful design choices ensure the park can withstand heavy public use and remain a welcoming gathering place for residents for years to come.
