Patients and visitors of Meridian Pediatrics easily understand why this office earned a nomination in 2009 as one of Idaho's Top Projects. A contemporary slab-on-grade exterior is defined by an expansive glass storefront, reaching full-height to a flat roof TPO system and pitched shingled roof. Upon approaching the entry visitors are intrigued by views of the interior, which floods with natural daylight. Visitors are greeted inside by a unique airplane, suspended from a spectacular T&G wood ceiling. A racetrack carpet leads visitors to the waiting room where a toy train zips around on an overhead track, to inspire imagination. Textures and rich materials are at play throughout the entire interior, designed with two pods, each having twelve exam rooms within sight of a central nurses' station.
