Mark Guho Construction, a premier health care general contractor in Caldwell, Idaho, delivered an 80,000-square-foot single-level assisted living and memory care facility designed to provide residents with customized levels of assistance and professional care. The 84-unit facility features six different room configurations, with 30 units specifically dedicated to memory care. Inside, the layout includes two large commercial kitchens, a pharmacy, nurse stations, and elegant finishes throughout. Resident amenities were a top priority, with spaces such as a hair salon, fireplaces, theatre room, game room, bistro, lounges, private meeting and dining rooms, and a library integrated into the design for comfort and engagement.

The project required full development of a challenging 7-acre site with heavy clay soils and a high-water table. MGC overcame these constructability challenges by implementing geotextile fabrics and heavy gravel sections under all foundations to stabilize the expansive footprint. A shallow stormwater infiltration system was installed under the parking lot to handle surface drainage within the shallow water table. Additional site improvements included extensive landscaping, raised garden beds, private patios, decorative fencing, water features, and the installation of 200 solar panels on the west-facing roof line to further enhance the facility’s energy efficiency.
